Hello, I’m Julia!
I graduated with my MSc in Speech and Language Therapy at the University of Essex in 2024. I have experience in SALT paediatric settings alongside previously working in education environments. I gained my PGCE at University of Sunderland to become a Primary School teacher and gained experience in an International school for 6 years in Hong Kong. I worked with early years through to Year 8, following the EYFS Framework, Key Stage 1, and Key stage 2 curriculum.
I thoroughly enjoy working in schools and ensuring children are receiving the therapy they need. The Words First value that resonates with me the most is collaboration. Words First harbours an environment for clinicians to collaborate closely together with a large support system from specialised professionals. I will be working in mainstream primary and secondary school and am looking forward to working with parents, SENCOs, and educators.
Outside of work, I enjoy taking road trips at any opportunity! I love trying different cuisines and meeting new faces. My friends would describe me as empathetic, considerate, and passionate.
