One of the ways we strengthen our offer for schools with Words First SLA’s is including a termly TA training day during which your TAs are trained by our specialists to deliver the Words First language-based literacy interventions. The programmes are designed to be delivered under the guidance of your Words First SaLT, thereby extending the reach of SaLT within your school. In 25/26 we plan to conduct action-based research using the informal assessment data gathered by TAs to measure the impact of these interventions.
