Hello, I’m Lisa.
I qualified as a Speech and Language Therapist from City University in 2010. During my first post, I completed a research project to obtain my Master’s qualification. After qualifying, I worked in specialist schools for children and young adults with Developmental Language Disorder (DLD), an area I remain very passionate about.
I joined Words First in 2018 and am now a Team Lead. I absolutely love being part of a dynamic team and supporting therapists with their growth and development. Being part of Words First is both fast-paced and exciting, offering an incredibly supportive environment.
The Words First value that resonates most with me is collaboration and support, because I thrive on communicating and building relationships with others and working as part of a team. I believe support and communication are key to growth and development.
In addition to my roles as a Team Lead and Speech and Language Therapist, I’m a proud mum of two—and a cat mum! I love reading novels, watching films, woodland walks, and spending time with my friends and family.
