Hello, my name is Erick and I’m a registered Occupational Therapist at Words First.
I graduated from Kenya Medical Training College in 2020 and have since gained valuable experience in early intervention and school-based settings. I currently work within specialist ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) and SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) school provisions.
I am committed to a client-centred, evidence-based approach, tailoring interventions to support students’ fine and gross motor skills, activities of daily living, and sensory needs. I have a particular interest in sensory integration and SEMH support, and I am passionate about helping young people navigate their world with confidence and independence.
At Words First, I value flexibility, which aligns closely with my personal and professional ethos. This adaptable working environment enhances my ability to provide the best possible care by responding to the unique needs of each individual.
Outside of work, I enjoy watching and playing football, as well as engaging in meaningful conversations with friends, who describe me as self-motivated and driven by my passions.
