Hello, my name is Niamh!
I am from Ireland and completed a degree Speech and Language Therapy at Ulster University.
I have been working at Words First for a year in mainstream primary schools. I have a passion for working with young children and keeping their family and teachers involved, to help them communicate effectively. I am excited to learn more and develop as a therapist in Words First.
The Words First value that resonates the most with me is respect. I feel this is so important in my role as a Speech and Language Therapist. It is vital to treat everyone you work with, with respect, no matter what their background.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with friends and family, travelling, cooking, and meeting new people! If you had to call my best friend, I think they’d describe me as kind, fun, and caring.
